A lot harder than general season…
I said what I said. It is my belief after hunting both general and shoulder seasons for several years in the mountains of central Montana, that it is way harder to score a public land shoulder elk than its general season counterpart.
Of course there are many variables that people can argue but for the purpose of this post, here are my own personal observations in a hope that I may be able to help someone out along the way.
